Carol Ann Smith, born on May 24, 1946, in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 19, 2024. Carol was the youngest daughter of Jacob and Mary Smith and grew up on the family dairy farm in Palmyra, PA.
A dedicated and compassionate individual, Carol devoted her life to service. She participated in the Brethren Volunteer Service and pursued nursing training. Her journey led her to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the early 1980s, where she worked as a nurse and trained as a missionary.
In 1988, Carol relocated to the Philippines. Over the next 27 years, she served both as a nurse and a missionary. Carol retired in 2015 and returned to Tulsa, where she continued her vocation as a personal in-home caregiver while maintaining close ties to the Philippines through frequent visits.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Robert B. Smith (Betty), Faye A. Witters (Donald), and Harold D. Smith (Joan), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Pine Woods, 1390 Old Forge Road, Annville, PA at 2:30 pm.
