Carl E. Hoffer, 89, formerly of Belfast, Maine passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Cornwall Manor.
Born March 2, 1936 in Palmyra, he was a son of the late Neal D. and Selma (Miller) Hoffer. Carl was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Lori and David Brown, as well as brothers Richard and Marlin Hoffer.
Former owner of Lougee’s Flower Shop and Greenhouse in Belfast, Maine, he was a member of the Belfast Chamber of Commerce, Belfast Rotary, and Maine State Florist Association. Before purchasing the flower shop, Carl taught horticulture at Allegheny IU 3 and was a member of Pennsylvania State Education Association.
Surviving are his wife of almost 46 years Kathleen E. (Manculich) “Kem” Hoffer; daughter Lisa Beck (Gregory) of Sellersville; grandchildren Amber Beck, Morgan Beck, Logan Beck, Brad Dalton (Jill), Jordan Dalton (Jenna), Cody Dalton, Victoria Dalton, and Chris Jones (Ashley); and great grandchildren Tatum, Brynnlee, Westyn, Quinn, Peyton, Maverick, Avery, Aubrey, Autumn, and Michael.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Zerr Chapel of Cornwall Manor, 1 Boyd Street, Cornwall. Private interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey.
