Beverly A. (Kauffman) Shaffer

Beverly A. Shaffer, 88, formerly of Palmyra passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026 in Linden Village, Lebanon.

Born February 27, 1938 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late Lester James and Iola Beatrice (Snyder) Kauffman.  She was the widow of Richard C. Shaffer, Sr. since December 2019 and also preceded in death by a son Bradley A. Shaffer in 2025 and siblings Constance Conrad, Lester James Kauffman, Jr., and Ronald Kauffman.

Beverly was a member of First United Methodist Church, Palmyra and, along with her husband, loved spending time at Indian River Inlet, their favorite place in the world.

Surviving are her son Richard C. Shaffer of Galeton; daughter in law Jodi (Weikel) Shaffer (widow of Bradley); grandchildren Abby Martin of Lebanon, Adam Shaffer, husband of Krista (Pannebaker) Shaffer of Lebanon, Ashley Graves, wife of Garrett Graves of Rocky Mount, NC, Aaron Shaffer, husband of Jacqueline (Brandt) Shaffer of Lebanon and Lauren Shaffer of Palmyra; and eleven great grandchildren.

A gathering will be held at a later date for Richard and Beverly.
