Betty Jane (Anstead) Barteit

Betty Jane Barteit, 97, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra and formerly of Newtown Square passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.

Born December 22, 1928 in South Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Clarance F. and Emma O. (Withers) Anstead and widow of Walter E. Barteit since February 2009.

Betty Jane retired from the Delaware County Christian School in Newtown Square.  An active resident of Londonderry Village, she was particularly involved in organizing fundraising activities for the Good Samaritan Fund to provide benevolent care at the home as well as organizing and starting a convenience store at Londonderry Village, which continues to operate today.

Private interment in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
