Betty J. O'Neal Obituary

Betty J. O’Neal, 90, of Columbia Cottage, Palmyra and formerly of Hershey passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020.

Born October 12, 1929 in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Amanda Carrie Gerberich and widow of Paul H. “Pete” O’Neal since May 1999.

Retired from H. B. Reese Company, she was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church, and a former volunteer at the Hershey Medical Center Gift Shop and Londonderry Village. Betty took painting lessons from Clyde Stacks and operated an antique booth at Ziegler’s in the Country, Hershey.

Surviving are her daughters Linda M. Schlader (Jeffrey) of Hershey and Colleen R. Knutsen (Erik) of Palmyra; grandson Joshua J. Schlader (Dana McCafferty-Schlader); and granddaughter Jeriah B. Schlader (Sammy Sellers).

A private funeral service will be held at her church with interment in Fishburn Cemetery.
