Arlene G. (Wolfersberger) Stare

Arlene G. Stare, 96, of Hummelstown passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Born October 17, 1927 in Harrisburg RD, she was the last surviving child of the late Walter Russel and Erma G. (Smyser) Wolfersberger and widow, after 63 years of marriage, of William E. Stare since February 2013.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson Seth Brooks and siblings Urie Potter, Lillie Hahn, and Geraldine Boisvert.

A member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Bertha Jacks Memorial Class, she was a homemaker and seamstress.  Arlene was a former Girl Scout Leader for Hummelstown Junior Troop #1017.

Surviving are her daughters Billie Ann Brunner (Terry) of New Cumberland and Linette Stare of Daytona Beach, Florida; grandsons Ronald A. Brunner (Laura) and Kevin S. Brunner (Leslie); and great grandchildren Joshua Brasher and Dakota Brunner.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 11, 2024 at Chambers Hill Cemetery, 6300 Chambers Hill Road, Harrisburg.
