Anna Mae (Lightner) Groves

Anna Mae Groves, 85, of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at home.

Born October 3, 1935 in Palmyra, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Violet (Ensminger) Lightner.  She was the widow of William L. Groves since September 2005 and also preceded in death by a son Edward Lightner Groves and sister Dorothy L. Gingrich.

Retired administrative assistant from the Hershey Medical Center Blood Bank, she loved animals and working outside.

Surviving are her children William Lightner Groves (Tami) of Hummelstown, Kenneth Lightner Groves (Paula) of Palmyra, and Rita George of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren Dan Lightner, Becky Lightner, Rachel Groves, Erica Groves, and Adam Groves; and her dog Bear.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
