Alyce D. (Lane) Peiffer

Alyce D. Peiffer, 74, of Elizabethtown, PA passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Masonic Village.

Born October 6, 1951 in Warren, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles P. and Alyce D. (Anna) Lane. She is predeceased by her three siblings, William L. Lane, Karolyn L. Stone, and Charlotte “Toottie” Erickson.

Previously a dental administrative assistant, she sang in the choir at her beloved church, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in York, PA and later joined the choirs at Masonic Village. Alyce was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Worthy Matron as well as Secretary for 25+ years.

Alyce is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald E. Peiffer Jr. and Rev. Wicky L. Barnes III, who she developed a maternal bond for, as well as numerous nieces, Lois A. Theuret, Kristena M. Branstetter, Wilhemina L. Unkefer and nephews, Charles D, Stone and James R. Erickson and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and Eastern Star service will be held 11:00 AM, May 2, 2026 in Sell Chapel at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. A private burial at Shells Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
