Alvena M. (Fortna) Hummer

Alvena M. Hummer, 90, formerly of North Annville Township passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra.

Born April 21, 1933 in Bellegrove, she was a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Cora A. (Himmelberger) Fortna.  She was the widow of Paul H. Hummer since October 2020 and Raymond C. Miller, Sr. since 1978 and also preceded in death by a daughter Darlene M. Binkley and sister Arlene R. Yorty.

She retired from H.B. Reese and was a member of Jonestown Bible Church.

Surviving are her children Marcia L. Speraw (Russ), Raymond C. Miller, Jr. (Linda), Brenda J. Shaver and Dale Kay Eberhardt (Whitney); son-in-law Ralph Binkley; stepsons Allan R. Hummer (Penny) and Brian K. Hummer (Michelle); 15 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Jonestown Bible Church, 14 Silvertown Road, Jonestown preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.  Interment in Kauffman’s Cemetery, Annville.
