This is sad indeed. I had the pleasure of working Al. Gordon Ulmer thought we would not get along at all. Al was well known to Gordon who had previously run Operations and I was the new guy as Al`s boss. Well, our first meeting was a delight. I asked Al what he needed in his area to reach a higher level. He came with a short but needy shopping list. He was well prepared. I promised him the resources, and delivered on the promise and we developed a very special respect, friendship and bond after that. Just a wonderful, smart, quick wit, hard working, loyal guy. Very much missed. Best, Henri David

To Al Hills' Family ~~ Those of us who had the pleasure of working with CBT learned of his passing in August just today. Al was much loved and respected at the bank and has a huge fan club of people who worked with him. He was smart and kind, creative and generous. And fun! His sense of humor got us through some difficult projects and challenges. He was such a truly decent person, someone whose integrity was unshakeable. Al was warm and supportive toward his colleagues. We were more like family at CBT. I remember when a group arranged to gift Al with a very large Steer for his farm. Then there was the time he and his friend John got into chef's hats for a function at the bank. He was a dear and rather legendary figure at CBT.

If the family would like copies of old CBT newsletters in which Al appeared, we'd be happy to share those copies with you. Just let us know.

Please know that the CBT family is in mourning with you. We have missed Al and we are sending you our very deepest sympathy.

So sorry for your loss, Courtney and family. I remember visiting the house in Maine and your Dad took us on a tour of the woodland trail.....I remember thinking, "Wow, this is great and took so much time and care." I'm sure all your happy memories will forever keep him in your hearts.

I will always fondly remember Al's great sense of humor and adventure. And, his love of driving and his daughter, with his frequent and always loved and appreciated surprise visits to Carlisle.

Edith,
I am very sorry for your loss. I have often thought about you guys since I stopped working in Connecticut and no longer had an excuse to find you and Al in the Diner in Torrington.

Dear Hills Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy as you mourn the loss of your husband and father. We have fond memories of the years that he and his special family lived in Winchester, Ct. Hugs especially to Amanda. As his obituary states, "Al had a good and happy life." What more does one ask for; he was surely blessed.
In sympathy,
Hank and JoAnne Centurelli
