Shirley L. (Heiser) Hill

Shirley L. Hill, 88, of Harrisburg passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Born July 3, 1931 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy E. (Brown) Heiser and widow of Edward P. Hill since May 16, 1963.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Pilkerton and sister and brother-in-law Joy and “Skip” Lutz.

Retired from the former Dauphin County Home, she was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Highspire, 1949 graduate of John Harris High School, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her son Edward Hill (Brenda) of Lewisberry; son-in-law William Pilkerton of Middletown; grandchildren Keri Richardson (Patrick) of North Carolina, Brian Pilkerton (Chastity) of North Carolina, and Jennifer Hill (Greg Daniels) of Mechanicsburg; great granddaughter Riley Richardson; and nephews Daniel, David, and Doug Lutz.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.  Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
