Sara (Morales) Martinez

Sara Martinez, 91, of Palmyra and formerly of Brooklyn, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at home.

Born November 13, 1927 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Gregorio and Blasina (Rivera) Morales.  She was also preceded in death by siblings Anibal, Enrique, Victor, William, Luciano, Geneoveba, and Jaime.

Surviving are her husband Santos C. Martinez; children Wilfredo Martinez of Florida, Edwin Martinez of Palmyra, and Sylvia Valentin of Palmyra; sister Neraida Morales; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:15 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 West Pine Street, Palmyra with interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  Viewings 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday all at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra.
