Sandra L. Coomes, formerly of Hummelstown passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Palmstown Manor, Palmyra.
Born December 26, 1935 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Virginia (Harro) Carodiskey. She was the widow of James F. Coomes since 1996 and was also preceded in death by a son Thomas L. Coomes in 2015 and sister Bella Sees.
She was the owner of Sandra Coomes Beauty Shop, Hummelstown, a member of Hershey Free Church, Red Rose Ramblers Camping Club and a graduate of Sunbury High School.
Surviving are her children Ted D., husband of Doris J. Coomes of Etters and Barbara R., wife of Donald Klinepeter of Elizabethtown; brother Ted, husband of Linda Carodiskey of Sunbury; grandsons Brad, husband of Debbie Hoak, Teddy, husband of Ashley Coomes, Tim Coomes, Christopher, husband of Nicole Klinepeter and Matthew Klinepeter; and great grandchildren Angel, Shelby and Tyler Hoak and Cayden, Brielle, Janson and Weston Coomes.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 15, 2017 at her church, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
