Roy M. Gingrich, 81, a lifetime resident of the greater Hershey area, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born December 28, 1937 in Hershey, he was the youngest son of the late Joseph L. and Nora K. (Shearer) Gingrich. He was preceded in death by a brother Lloyd Gingrich and son-in-law E. Michael Junier.
Roy retired from Hershey Foods Corporation after more than 40 years working as a security guard and truck driver. He also enjoyed many years of driving school bus part time. Roy attended the Palmyra Area School District and loved family, classic cars, and NASCAR racing. He found great joy in caring for his farmette, along with horses, dogs, cats and farm animals over the years.
Surviving are his wife Carole J. (Snavely) Gingrich; children Keith R., husband of Karen Gingrich of Easton, Karen L., wife of Keith Devine of Mechanicsburg and Kimberly A., wife of Phillip Wagoner of Wrightsville; brother Harold, husband of Violet Gingrich of Hummelstown; sister-in-law Ann Gingrich of Harrisburg; stepsons Scott and Jon; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville at the convenience of the family.
