Marthalynn Meyerhoeffer, 94, of Grantville passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born September 8, 1923 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Madalynn (Colestock) Reitz. She was the widow of Verlon L. Meyerhoeffer since July 2007 and also preceded in death by her son Bruce Meyerhoeffer, one great grandson, and siblings Jayson Reitz, Forrest Reitz, Madalynn Greish, and Joann Reitz.
Retired in 1986 as a registered nurse from the United Church of Christ Home in Annville, she previously worked for the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was a 1942 graduate of Lower Paxton High School, 1945 graduate of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, and served in the Army Nurse Cadets.
Surviving are her daughters Cindy, wife of William Beinhower and Benita Few all of Grantville; daughter in law Susan Meyerhoeffer of Slate Run; brothers Joseph Reitz of Grantville, Lloyd Reitz of Hershey, John Reitz of Annville, and Robert Reitz of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation from 1:00 PM. Interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
