Marilynn L. Rice, 93, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
Born April 9, 1924 in Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late Earl C. and Agnes (Neikirk) Witter. She was the widow of W. Hartman Rice since December 1982 and also preceded in death by siblings Phyllis Long, Eugene Witter and Robert Witter.
She was a member of the Conewago Church of the Brethren and prior to that served with her husband ministering to the Conamaugh, PA; Blue River, IN; and Midway, PA congregations. She retired from the marketing department of SERRV.
Surviving are her children Linda C., wife of Gregory K. Beale, Sharon E. Smart, Daryl H. Rice husband of Renee D. Arehart and Loren D., husband of JoAnn G. Rice; siblings Roger Witter, Geraldine Schildt, Mary Winter, Dorothy Potteiger and Janet Lehman; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the DiMatteo Worship Center of Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be in Antietam Cemetery, Waynesboro.
