Joyce S. Markel, 71, formerly of Harrisburg passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Born June 1, 1945 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Charlotte (Freeland) Little, the widow of Herbert C. Markel, and also preceded in death by a son Shawn R. Markel.
She was a member of The United Church of God, Harrisburg and attended God’s Missionary Church of Newport.
Surviving are her daughter Monica S., wife of Darrin Flohr; son Dwayne S., husband of Rachel Markel; siblings Arletta Crow, Gilbert Little, and Adrianna Campbell; and ten grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at The United Church of God, 1211 Fairmont Drive, Harrisburg preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.
