John S. “Jack” Grauel, 88, of Hummelstown passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born September 30, 1929 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William S. and Dorothy P. (Hanna) Grauel and was also predeceased by brother William Grauel and sister Jane Hoover.
A grocery manager for the former Food Fair and Pantry Pride, Jack was later employed by Hummelstown Cemetery. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Jack was addicted to Sudoku puzzles, enjoyed Thursday lunch with his friends, feeding birds, fishing in Canada and turkey hunting at camp.
Surviving are his wife of almost 63 years Jean M. (Mitchell) Grauel; brothers Robert Grauel (Pauline) of Hershey and James Grauel (Carol) of Harrisburg; brother-in-law Richard Hoover; and ten nieces and nephews.
