Joan M. (Mars) Jordan

Joan M. Jordan, 80, of North Londonderry Township passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Born April 13, 1939 in Elmira, New York, she was a daughter of the late Harry William and Winifred Johnson (Mosher) Mars.

Retired from Hershey Foods, she previously owned Joan’s Beauty Shop in Palmyra and was a member of the Palmyra VFW Auxiliary, Palmyra American Legion Auxiliary, and Palmyra Bowling League.  Full of life and young at heart, Joan loved to dance and throw darts but especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years James E. Jordan; children William Fake of Palmyra, Terrie Williams of Palmyra, Michael Jordan of Chambers Hill, and Jennifer Heagy (Marlin) of Lebanon; sister Kitty Klinger of Pine Grove; grandchildren Christopher (Morgan), Brandon (Kayla), Lauren, Luke (Jessica), Patrick, Olivia, Jamie, Kyle (Renee), Brooke, Amye, and Paige; great grandchildren Delaney, Ezra, and Bennett.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, September 6, 2019 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 11:00 AM.  Private interment in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
