Joan A. (Fortney) Bonawitz

Joan A. Bonawitz, 77, of Grantville, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 in the Hershey Medical Center.

Born May 31, 1941 in Enola, she was the daughter of the late Merle Vincent and Mary Ruth (Fake) Fortney and was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel Thomas Bonawitz on January 11, 1996.

She was a former employee of the Hershey Medical Center.

Surviving are her son Daniel Vincent Bonawitz and companion Amy E. Peterko of Palmyra; and grandchildren Kayla Ann Bonawitz and Daniel John Bonawitz.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be in Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery.
