James I. “Jack” Kelley, 86, of Palmyra passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Frey Village, Middletown.
Born September 20, 1930 in Hershey, he was the son of the late James R. and Edna M. (Schlegel) Kelley.
Retired as founder and owner of Kelley-Tron Machine Company, Harrisburg, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, past President of the Palmyra Optimist Club, and 63 year life member of the Campbelltown American Legion Post 831. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid golfer, and sponsored the Kelley-Tron Golf League.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years Sara Jane (Smith) Kelley; sons J. Michael, husband of Mary Kelley of Gillette, Wyoming and Steven J., husband of Sandy Kelley of North Londonderry Township; sister Gloria Engle of Arizona; grandchildren Sean Kelley, Brooke Olenowski, Tessa Kelley, and Ryan Kelley; and great grandchildren Olivia, Gage, and Kellen.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra with interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewings 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday and 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday both at the funeral home.
