George E. “Bud” Steinruck, 99, of Londonderry Township, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Palmyra Heritage House.
Born November 27, 1919 in Conewago Township, Dauphin County, he was a son of the late Jay Melvin and Roseanna N. (Coble) Steinruck and preceded in death by sister Rose Heisey, brother Jay Steinruck, Jr. and his beloved canine friend Felix.
A retired self-employed barber and accomplished musician, Bud was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hershey, the American Legion and V.F.W. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the special forces in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years Glenna M. (Conrad) Steinruck; sisters Gloria S. Knaub and M. June Remley; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2019 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown. Burial, with military honors, will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown.
