Edward R. Fisher

Edward R. Fisher, 78, of Hummelstown passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born April 18, 1939 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Ray E. and Martha (Wingert) Fisher.  He was also the widower of Barbara A. (Hepschmidt) Fisher since April 2003.

After various trades and owning Fisher’s Garage in Middletown, Ed was a real estate agent, landlord, and pastor.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed airplanes, member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Hummelstown United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his son Ronald E. Fisher; daughter Deborah A. Fisher; siblings Barbara A. Nusz, Robert L. Fisher, and Catherine L. Fisher.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Hummelstown United Church of Christ, 104 East Main Street, Hummelstown with interment in Hummelstown Cemetery.  Viewings 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown and 10:30 – 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
