Edna M. Walmer, 92, formerly of Grantville passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Cedar Haven, Lebanon.
Born January 5, 1925 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Grant and Sallie (Seibert) Walmer.
A lifelong farmer, she was a member of Faith United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and was on the sub crew. She was a former member of the Society of Farm Women and a diligent volunteer at the Grantville Food Pantry. An avid reader, Edna liked to garden, enjoyed cats, dogs, watching birds and doing nursing home visitations.
Surviving are her sister Carrie Carnathan of Annville and nieces and nephews including “nieces” Sallie Harman, Sara Proctor and Susan Scott.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her church, 117 North Faith Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Grantville.
