Diane Lee (Denington) Brontsema

Diane Lee Brontsema, 80, formerly of Hershey passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Countryside Christian Community, Annville.

Born July 14, 1938 in Lansing, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Effie Marie (Cook) Denington.

A Licensed Professional Counselor, she was a self employed counselor, a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and charter member of Hershey Free Church.  In her teen years, she was involved in Youth for Christ and in 1956 was the Daughters of the American Revolution winner at East Lansing High School.  She went back to school earning her master’s degree in her 50’s and loved following and supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years John H. Brontsema; daughters Sheri Lynn, wife of Tom Sebastian of Snohomish, Washington, Kimberlee Joy Brontsema of Gilbert, Arizona, and Jodette Ann Ashcraft of Carlsbad, California; grandchildren Tess Sebastian, Carly Sebastian, and Blake, husband of Angela (Meadows) Evans.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hershey Free Church, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036 preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.  Private interment in Broadview Cemetery, Hershey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice for all Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028.
