David R. Seibert, Sr.

David R. Seibert, Sr., 84, of Derry Township passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at home.

Born September 9, 1939 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Russell and Dorothy (Spotz) Seibert and widower of Joyce A. (Schwartz) Seibert since July 2023, after 60 years of marriage.

Dave held many jobs to provide for his family, including owner of Seibert Excavating, working at Sutliff Chevrolet, Derry Township Police Department, and Lower Dauphin School District.  He was a member of the Sand Hill Lions Club and Hummelstown Fire Company.  He participated in the NASCAR experience driving a racecar at Pocono Speedway.  He loved his cars, trains, annual trips to Florida, and racing, especially the York US30 Racing.

Surviving are his children Craig Seibert (Jackie) of Henderson, NV, David Seibert, Jr. (Annette) of Cleona, Lisa Waller (Tom) of Harrisburg, and Kim Dunn (George) of Elizabethtown; sister Dottie Bonsall of Annville; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Private interment in Fishburn Cemetery, Hershey.
