Ruth P. Ricker, 84, formerly of Derry Township and Campbelltown passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 in ManorCare, Lebanon.

Born June 30, 1929 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Robert W., Sr., and Mamie (Mader) Klick.

She was the widow of Russell L. “Sonny” Ricker, Jr. who died in 1973 and was also preceded in death by siblings Richard W. Klick and Robert C. Klick.  

A 1947 graduate of Swatara Township High School, she retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot, was a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees and an avid traveler in the United States and overseas.  

Surviving are her children Russell L., III, husband of Shelley (Parsons) Ricker of Linglestown and Sandra L., wife of David Keller of Ephrata; siblings Mary, widow of Chalmer Nye of Florida, Samuel A., husband of Sylvia Klick of Gardners and Peggy A., wife of John Strickler of New Oxford; grandchildren Kirstin, wife of Nathan Sanders, David Ricker, and Matthew, husband of Emily Moore; great grandson Nolan Sanders.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 158 South Hoernerstown Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
