Thomas G. Stager, 70, of South Annville Township, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 in Select Specialty, Harrisburg.
He was born June 15, 1945 in Lebanon.
A graduate of the Harrisburg Barber Academy and a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Colebrook and Ducks Unlimited. He was co-owner of Lebanon Valley Cycle Sales, Jonestown from 1977 – 1988, later worked for Finch Turf Equipment, Westminster, Maryland and retired as a local territorial representative for Snapper. Tom was a dog lover and an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and boating. Riding snowmobiles, four wheelers, motorcycles, and jet skis earned him the nickname “Tom the Toy Man”.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years Mary K. (Shank) Stager; daughter Jill Stager Brooks of Lebanon; mother Betty J. (Geib) Kreider of Palmyra; brother Ronald, husband of Sandra Stager of Jonestown; granddaughters Victoria and Katelyn Brooks; two nieces; three nephews; his beloved yellow Labrador Fred; and was preceded in death by his father Earl Stager.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at his church, 58 Church Road, Manheim preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
