Russell B. Staub, 99, formerly of Hummelstown passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

 

Born April 20, 1918 in Middletown, he was a son of the late Daniel and Emma (Sheetz) Staub.  After 60 years of marriage, he was the widower of Marian E. (Conrad) Staub in 1999 and the widower of Helen (Alwine) Falk Staub after nine years of marriage.  A family of eleven children, he was the last of his immediate family.

 

The owner of Staub Jewelers for 60+ years, he was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownstone Lodge #666 F & AM and Harrisburg Consistory.  He was a graduate of Swatara Township High School, past president of Hummelstown Lions Club and Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Campaign.  Russell enjoyed fishing in Canada and hunting.

 

Surviving are nieces and nephews including Joyce Conrad Weber of Virginia and Ken C. Conrad of Annville.

 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM and a Masonic Service at 9:45 AM.  Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
