Paul D. Shuey, 94, formerly of Grantville passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 in Columbia Cottage, Palmyra.
Born May 29, 1922 in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late William and Gertie (Wentling) Shuey. He was the widower of Jennie E. (Hetrick) Shuey who died October 2008 and was also preceded in death by siblings Henry, Raymond and Edwin Shuey and Myrle Sholley.
He retired from Hershey Foods Corporation and was a former road supervisor in East Hanover Township. A member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464 and St. John’s United Methodist Church, Grantville, he was a life member of Grantville Volunteer Fire Company, National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club and Shellsville VFW #9639. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his children Nancy, widow of Ronald Freed of Lebanon, Glenn, husband of Janet Shuey of Palmyra, Jim Shuey of Palmyra, Linda, widow of Martin Remsburg of Palmyra, Jerry, husband of Renee Shuey of Palmyra, Randy, husband of Pamela Shuey of Hummelstown and Robin, wife of Dave Lingle of Grantville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2016 at his church, 165 Firehouse Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial, with military honors, will be in Grantville Cemetery.
