Norbert C. Lauber, 87, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Frey Village, Middletown.
Born May 2, 1928 in Batesville, Indiana, he was a son of the late Casean and Marie (Standenmeyer) Lauber.
Retired from Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation, Grantville, he was a member of Palm Lutheran Church and the Hershey American Legion, where he was also past commander. He was passionate about airplanes and a member of the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy and then during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years Tommie (Paul) Lauber; daughters Tammy McElwee of Palmyra and Kelly Hough of Fannattetsburg; mother-in-law Alma Paul; grandchildren Alison, Geoff, and Matt; and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at his church, 11 West Cherry Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 12:00 Noon. Interment, with military honors, will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Palm Lutheran Church, 11 West Cherry Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.
