Dear Bill and Susan, and the whole of the extended family,
I was saddened to hear of Mary's passing, and that I received notice of the funeral services too late to attend. Please don't feel that my absence at the church and the cemetery was in any way intentional. I was very fond of Mary and would certainly have attended, if it were possible.
I send my deepest condolences to each of the family members. My faith in God gives me contented belief that she is in a much better place now, and has already spent time hugging Bill and all of her family who have gone before. I wish her spirit the Eternal Peace and Godspeed of which she is so truly deserving.
In thanks for having known her, and for her many acts of kindness to me and my fellow veterans,

They don't make them like this anymore. A moral, loving, giving, honest, spiritual, compassionate, strong, faithful angel that will be missed by many for many years. Anyone who knew her or was touched by her had to receive a blessing. We love you and will always know you are watching over all you loved. God bless you and your family and wrap his arms around you welcoming you into his kingdom.
