Lucy C. Via, 88, formerly of Grantville passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Country Meadows of Hershey.
Born January 6, 1928 in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Annie (Flocken) Grubb and the widow of John Via on March 17, 1993.
Retired with 42 years of service from the Hershey Chocolate Factory, she was a member of the Hershey Seventh-Day Adventist Church and collected glass baskets. As a life member of the Shellsville VFW #9639 Ladies Auxiliary, Lucy volunteered with many of their activities and also volunteered at the Grantville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival.
Surviving are her son Ronald J., widower of Kathyrn Via of Grantville; siblings Anna R. Hetrick and Harry R. Grubb both of Grantville; granddaughters Emily A. Via and Diane V. Davies; great grandsons Ian R. Via-Minnich and Gabriel A. Davies.
A funeral service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation from 8:30 AM. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
