Kate Sitler, 67, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born October 7, 1949 in Hershey, she was the daughter of Harold L. Sitler of Hershey and the late Dorothy H. (Gilmore) Sitler and was also preceded in death by a brother Thomas Sitler.
She retired from Hershey Entertainment and Resorts after 47 years of service. Kate was passionate about gardening, loved watching and feeding her hummingbirds, enjoyed reading and got to see Paul McCartney in concert in Hershey this year after being a fan since the Beatles first came to America. Her three cats, Sami, Buffy, and Doodlebug, gave her much pleasure and comfort as well. She enjoyed visits to her favorite beach at Cape May, New Jersey.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her brothers David, husband of Donna Sitler of Palmyra, Robert Sitler of Ocean City, Maryland, and Richard, husband of Carol Sitler of Williamstown; nephews Michael and Evan; nieces Hannah and Rachel; and great nephew Caleb.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery.
