John C. Hopple, 94, formerly of Palmyra and East Hanover Township, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Frey Village, Middletown.
Born January 2, 1922 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Martin and Bertha (Bostdorf) Hopple and was the widower of Mary K. (Bernard) Hopple since 2011.
Retired from Hershey Chocolate Corporation with 35 years of service, he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and member of Community Bible Church, Palmyra.
Surviving are his children John C., Jr., husband of Karen Hopple of Palmyra, Donald, husband of Donna Hopple of Palmyra and Sherry, wife of Kirk Stine of Harrisburg; step daughter Rosanna Julian of Palmyra; grandchildren Juanita, Jennifer, Donell, Eric, Justin, Lexi, and Spencer; and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon Monday, December 5, 2016 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra. Private interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
