John S. Hileman, Jr., 69, of Enola passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at home.
Born August 18, 1947 in Altoona, he was a son of the late John S., Sr. and Frances (Gould) Hileman.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. A member of St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, he was a strong leader evidenced by former Property Committee Chairman and Council President as well as the church’s computer guy. John loved the Orioles, computers, and Atari and found great interest in genealogy especially contributing to FindAGrave.com.
Surviving are his sons John S. Hileman, III of Etters and Jeremy S. Hileman of Camp Hill; sisters Sydna J. Boyer of Palmyra and Susan J. Lightner of Annville; former wife Patti Hileman White of Etters; and grandsons Joshua S. Hileman and Keelan R. Hileman.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his church, 4200 Carlisle Pike, Camp Hill. Private interment, with military honors, will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Carlisle Pike, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
