Jeanne Dorothy (Gregory) Cooper

Jeanne Dorothy Cooper, 83, of Millersburg and Hershey passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. 

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Genevieve (Hartlove) and William Gregory.

She was pre-deceased by her mother Genevieve, step-father Edward Mirra, brother William Gregory and sister Doris Wiker.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years Gary William Cooper; four children Denise Carpenter (Ted), Gail Ghelardini (Steven), Lee Cooper, and Jacquelyn Rikklemann; grandchildren Brad Carpenter, Megan Ramaika (Jack), Jennifer, Lauren and Melanie Ghelardini, Katelyn Avots (Erik), Kara Burgos (A.J.), Kristen Boyer (Jed), Kasey Cooper and Hope Rikklemann; great grandchildren Ava, Sydney and Natalie; and nieces Susan Saintz and Lisa Carricato.

Jeanne attended Temple University where she met Gary and later completed her education at Harrisburg Area Community College.

Jeanne worked at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center as the Cultural Affairs Assistant.  She was a Board Member of the Pennsylvania Water Color Society for four years, the Capucines Women’s Painters, the “Red Hat Society,” Eastern Star in Hershey, the Women’s League, and Milton Hershey Faculty Wives.

She was an expert artist in oils and water colors.  Her true talent was in photography where she was never without a camera.  Her art and photography were exhibited and judged in places all over Central Pennsylvania. 

Jeanne and Gary loved all their pets and together visited many places worldwide. 

A service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
