Janet A. Lehman, 83, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born February 26, 1932 in Derry Township, Dauphin County, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Miriam A. (Shumaker) Shireman.
A 1950 graduate of the Palmyra High School “Palms,” she was Cheerleading Captain her senior year. Janet then worked for the former Farm Bureau, Harrisburg, Palmyra American Legion, and did ironing work out of her home. She loved to roller skate, jitterbug, and complete puzzles.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years Fred A. Lehman; children Steven A. Lehman (Donna) of Lebanon, Debra A. McDaniels (Frank) of Annville, and Brian A. Lehman of Palmyra; sister Dorothy R. Marshall of Palmyra; grandchildren Jennifer L. Baughman (Eric) and Justin R. McDaniels; great grandchildren Daniel and Samara; two nieces; and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 12:30 PM. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
