Gerald R. Wells, Sr., 84, of Middletown passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
Born June 1, 1933 in Harrisburg, he was one of twelve children to the late Jesse and Barbara (Faizel) Wells. He was the widower, after 60 years of marriage, of Glenda R. (Baker) Wells, and also preceded in death by an infant son Michael Wells and daughter Nancy Wells.
Retired after 32 years from Hershey Foods, he was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, an avid fisherman, Steelers fan, story teller and loved to watch Westerns.
Surviving are his children Jerry Wells (Angie) of Middletown, Robin Moyer (Tim) of Enola, and Tawn Boltz (Doug) of Palmyra; sister Barbara Ann; eight grandchildren including Annissa Lingle (Sean) of Hummelstown; and twelve great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra with a reception following. Private interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
