Earl R. Blose, Sr., 85, of Hummelstown passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Frey Village, Middletown.
Born January 19, 1932 in Hummelstown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mabel Blose.
Earl worked hard all his life including 38 years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, and enjoyed eating at the Macaroni Grill and Skyline Restaurant. Known as “Carrot Man,” he loved his race horses, telling old stories and jokes.
Surviving are his daughter Diane M. O’Brien of Michigan; son Earl R. Blose, Jr. of Hummelstown; and two grandsons.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
