Doris B. (Boger) HetrickJanuary 25, 1935 ~ February 4, 2017 (age 82)
Doris B. Hetrick, 82, of Traditions of Hershey, transitioning to Columbia Cottage, Palmyra passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, surrounded by family.
Born January 25, 1935 in Annville, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Idella Mae (Hardick) Boger and widow of Earl W. Hetrick since November 22, 2015.
Retired from Hershey Foods, she was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church where she previously organized the clothing sale for the Church Bazaar. She had volunteered with Palmyra Caring Cupboard and Palmyra Library, was a former Girl Scout leader, an officer of her Annville High School Class of 1952, and a Cougar Club officer in the late 70's. Doris enjoyed gardening, traveling, trivia, bingo and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Gary L., husband of Janet Hetrick of Bandera, Texas, Linda S., wife of Mike Bare of Palmyra, and Douglas E. Hetrick and girlfriend Sherry of Lickdale; sister Vesta Fisher of Campbelltown; grandchildren Allison, Ryan, Matthew, Kathleen, Nicholas, Preston, Christy, and Danny; and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra preceded by viewing from 1:00 PM. Interment 9:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2017 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
