Charles C. “Chick” Steffen, 92, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home.
Born January 21, 1925 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Newton and Mabel (Baker) Steffen and was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. After 66 years of marriage, he was the widower of Helen (Cassel) Steffen since March 2, 2016.
Retired from B&H Pizza, Hershey, he was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Palmyra American Legion, and Halifax VFW. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, avid fisherman, and enjoyed taking his hand crafted furniture to craft shows.
Surviving are his children Debra L. Steffen (Kenneth) of Palmyra and Bradley C. Steffen (Beth) of Campbelltown; grandchildren Shaun Steffen, Julie Steffen and Amy Wilson; and great grandchildren Jacob and Nicholas Wilson.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 31, 2017 at his church, 165 Firehouse Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment, with military honors, will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
