Carolyn J. Longenecker, 83, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born August 11, 1933 in Orbisonia, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Juniata (Brodbeck) Ott and was preceded in death by granddaughter Sara Berkhimer, step son Randy L. Longenecker, and brothers Raymond, Clayton, Janvier and Kenneth Ott.
Retired as the kitchen supervisor from Milton Hershey School, she was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church and former volunteer at the Hershey Medical Center.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years Lester Longenecker, Jr.; step children Laurie Ann Garman of Palmyra and Michael L. Longenecker of East Hanover Township; grandchildren Janelle Longenecker, Jennifer Longenecker, Nathan Longenecker, Kari Longenecker, Carabeth Higgins, Brooke Lehrman, Cole Lehrman, Emily Miller and Gregory Miller; great grandchildren Ella Longenecker, Myka Lechleitner, Trent Grab, Kaylee Herr, Liliana Herr, and Lily Miller; nephew Wayne Ott; and other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her church; 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
