Brandon Michael Murray, 31, of Hummelstown, passed away at home Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He leaves his mother Susan Murray and her companion Bill Folger; father Peter Murray and his wife Courtney; sisters Jennifer Beard, Emma Bury, Hannah and Olivia Murray; brothers Samuel and Caleb Murray; as well as nephew Connor Beard to celebrate his life.
Born in Harrisburg on November 24, 1984, Brandon was very involved in youth athletics in Hampton Township, playing soccer, baseball, basketball and golf. He graduated in 2003 from Cumberland Valley High School with Honors and studied at The University of Pittsburgh.
Brandon had a close group of friends who enjoyed playing in his birthday golf tournament, “The Murray Classic” and camping trips to Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware. Whether they were having a good season or not, Brandon was a steadfast fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Redskins. He will forever be remembered for his kind disposition and big heart.
A casual celebration of remembrance, for family and friends, will be held at 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 178 Jeff Lane, Hummelstown, PA, 17036. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to West Shore YMCA Youth Athletic Programs, 410 Fallowfield Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
