Beverly A. Radcliffe, 85, of West Hanover Township, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at Penn State Hershey Rehab Hospital. After a brief hospital stay for pneumonia, she passed peacefully in her sleep.
Born November 18, 1931, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Allen and the late Florence (Kocher) Allen Thornton. She was preceded in death by her sisters Eleanor Allen Sweigard, Kathryn Allen Rhodes, and Shirley Allen Fritsch.
Beverly graduated in 1949 from Susquehanna Township High School, and married her high school sweetheart Ray Radcliffe. She loved staying active and was a women’s college and high school basketball and field hockey official for more than 30 years. Along with spending time with her 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, she loved fishing, boating, and living life to its fullest every day!
She is survived by her husband Ray of 65 years, her children Roxanna Radcliffe, Roger Radcliffe, Diana Radcliffe (spouse Tammy), and Brenda Radcliffe Lawson (spouse Ron).
A “Celebration of Life” will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Progress Fire Company Home Association located at 38 Short Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
