Amy K. (Kreiser) Di Stefano

On Valentine’s Day 2018, Amy (Kreiser) Di Stefano left this world to be with her beloved late husband, Herman. Since his passing in 2009 Amy has asked every day about Herman, her husband of 67 years. The story she told is that she found him under the Christmas tree. Actually, they met at a Christmas Eve Mass at the St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey.

Amy was born to Harry and Ida (Drews) Kreiser on March 1, 1920 in Lickdale, PA. She was the last remaining of her ten Kreiser siblings. Amy is survived by daughter Deena Di Stefano of Carlsbad, CA, son Thomas Di Stefano (and Clara Martini) of Monte Sereno, CA, two grandchildren Peter and Pia, and one great grandson Luke. She leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.

Amy passed away peacefully at home in California with Tom and Clara at her side. Amy will be greatly missed.

Amy was an employee of Hershey Foods for 20 years, where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed nature and wildlife, often getting away to her cabin at Lake Strauss. She always kept a garden with flowers, especially her favorite irises. Amy spent ten of her golden years in California with her son and family, enjoying flowers and sunshine the year around.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Shellsville, PA preceded by a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.  Amy’s remains will be interred in the Moonshine Cemetery, Jonestown, PA.
