Albert B. “Poppy” Bubb, 95, of North Londonderry Township died peacefully Friday, August 18, 2017 at home.
Born October 6, 1921 in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late John and Ruth (Stoudt) Bubb. He was the widower of Jean (Southwood) Bubb since November 2010 and was also preceded in death by siblings Robert Bubb, Russell Bubb, Mary Elizabeth Rall, James Bubb, and Nancy Hoppstetter.
Retired from Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown, he was a World War II Navy veteran, member of Prince Edwin-Spring Creek Lodge No. 486 and Palmyra American Legion Post 72. He formerly served on the Palmyra Borough Council and as President of the Sewer Authority.
Surviving are his daughter Becky Bay and husband Harry “Sonny” with whom Albert lived for the past 15 years; sister Jane Miller; brother Richard Bubb; granddaughter Katie Bay Jaramillo and husband Mario of Miramar, Florida; great granddaughters Presley, Irie, and Martina; and extended family William, Cheryl, Bill, and Nicole Graham and Tammy, Neil, Lily, and Logan Weidman.
Private interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
